There are many caves in the mountains, but not like this one. It is considered to be the most important cave in the Tyrol. You won't be disappointed. There is marble of different colours with the most beautiful shapes. You can explore the cave during a trekking tour, and will be equipped with protective clothing and guided through the cave. How to get there? First you have to go to Hintertux. This takes about 45 min. Then you travel by train through the mountain air up to the Spannagelhaus. Below the Spannagelhaus, directly on the Hintertux glacier, is where you'll find the entrance to this mysterious cave.

Zillertal is literally worth its weight in gold! In this mine, you can pan for gold and learn fascinating things about the lives of the former miners, political conflicts between the social classes, and the Tyrol and Salzburg regions, and also about the influence of the church. You can even ride the gold express here! So, put on some sturdy walking shoes and hit the road.

In the dairy and cheese museum in Fügen, you can taste Fügener Graukäse, Hochfügener Bergkäse, Zillertaler Gipfelstürmer and many more and discover your new favourite cheese. You don't need a time machine to go back to the Middle Ages - just visit Stans. The castle in Stans is amazing. It’s one of the most important cultural monuments in the Tyrol. Look at how beautifully the courtyard was painted and how the rooms of noblemen were furnished in the Renaissance. The estate is open from April to October. From Wöscherhof you can go back to the Middle Ages in only 20 minutes!

Lake Achensee is the largest lake in the Tyrol. There are real beach resorts here! You can take a beautifully romantic boat trip from Pertisau to Achenkirch via Seespitz, Buchau and Gaisalm. Reachable in 30 min from Hotel Wöscherhof.

Put on a helmet and immerse yourself in the dark tunnel. Here, silver ore once gleamed and was painstakingly hewn from the rock. An expert will explain exactly how it was mined. If you're a night owl, why not visit the planetarium to observe the stars in the sky? Last but not least: The Renaissance Freundsberg castle is well worth a visit. It’s a popular venue for weddings, though you don't have to get married to visit. You’ll feel like a knight from the days of old here. Have at thee, varlet!

A wealth of Tyrolean culture on display in tiny Rattenberg. With 422 inhabitants, it is the smallest town in Austria. The town almost fits in your suitcase. Only almost ... but never mind. You won’t forget Rattenberg. Here, you can immerse yourself in quite a unique world. Fine boutique fashion and handicrafts as far as the eye can see ... especially the glaziers, who let you look over their shoulders while they work. You’ll see even more on a tour of the town. You can be there in 20 minutes!

Everyone knows Innsbruck, but not Hall. The picturesque medieval jewel will create a lasting impression. In the past, coins were minted in the tower, today the town provides inspiration for poets and playwrights. If you’re still not convinced of its beauty, you have to go and see it. There are lots of interesting artisan workshops in the narrow streets. From the Wöscherhof, you can be in front of the city walls in half an hour.
