Level 1: Over 30 theme paths in the valley
Who says you can't combine enjoyment, recreation and learning at the same time? On around 30 nature trails and interactive paths along Zillertal's valley floor, healthy exercise and invigorating nature experiences meld with utterly fascinating theme worlds: This way, hikers are able to learn amazing snippets about Alpine nature and the traditional Tyrolean lifestyle. Authentic traditions, culinary specialties, the significance of water for mankind and nature in the alpine highlands, and much more - all just waiting to be discovered and explored. Get ready for hikes more interesting and more impressive than you ever imagined!Level 2: Rustic huts and hikes across Alpine pastures
Every bit as exciting and delightful as our valley tours are the many hiking paths that lead you across lush, green alpine meadows, alongside gurgling mountain streams and with the ever-present panoramic view of Zillertal's mighty glaciers. If you get a bit thirsty during your hike, you don't need to think twice about lapping up some water from one of our crystal-clear streams - our water is so clean, it easily exceeds the usual standards for home tap water. The rustic mountain huts invite you to enjoy a pleasant refreshment stop and at the same time savour some hearty and traditional Zillertal treats. We have various routes which cater to the old or young - the more experienced or beginners. You can enjoy a bit of outdoor exercise and reach the top on foot, drive your car up via the Zillertaler Höhenstrasse – or simply float up there with a total of eleven different summer lifts available for you to choose from, carrying you effortlessly to the best trailheads for gentle hill-country hikes.
Level 3: Summit expeditions beyond 3,000 metres
Experienced alpinists and extreme sportsmen and women are in for a real kick when they explore the regions between the forest border and the eternal ice of mighty glaciers. In this case, safety is always a top priority, which is why so many hikers' refuge huts are located on our surrounding summits, providing expert mountaineers with everything they might wish for or need. These cosy refuge huts also enable hikers to go on hikes lasting several days to make the most of their experience. One of these longer hikes is the famous "Berliner Höhenweg": A 7-day tour that takes participants via seven different huts up to an astonishing altitude of 3,134 metres above sea level.
Our recommendation: The Zillertal Activcard
For everyone who can never get enough of Zillertal and wants to explore every nook and cranny of this glorious setting, we would highly recommend purchasing a "Zillertal Activcard": This card is a lift, train, bus, admission and discount ticket all in one. It even includes a ride on the Zillertal steam locomotive - an homage to our grandparents' day. Contact Hotel Wöscherhof to learn more about the many benefits of the Zillertal Activcard!
