Erlebnistherme Zillertal
This thermal bath guarantees marvellous fun in and around the water for the whole family. This spa resort in Fügen greets you with a 133-metre water slide, the longest in western Austria, a tubing slide, a pool with massage loungers, a wave pool, a flowing canal and many other attractions suitable for small and big children. It is located just 10 minutes by car from the Wöscherhof and has 350 free parking spaces.
Hall in Tyrol
The beautiful historical district of Hall in Tyrol which dates back to the Middle Ages is really worth a visit. It is even bigger than the Old City in Innsbruck! In the Middle Ages, Hall was an important economic centre due to the salt trade. Attesting to that is the so-called Mint Tower, in which coins were once minted under the authority of the region's princes. You need barely half an hour to get from the Wöscherhof to Hall in Tyrol.
Farm museum in Kramsach
A vibrant presentation how farmers lived in previous times is provided by the Farm Museum in Kramsach. On exhibition here are tools and kitchen equipment from back in the olden days, as is a typical farmhouse parlour and a barn. It takes about 20 minutes to get from Uderns to the start of your journey into our region's rural past.
Spannagel Cave on Hintertuxer Glacier
This is an adventure definitely not to be missed. Below the Spannagel House on Hintertuxer Glacier, you will find the entrance to the most important cave in all of Tyrol. After outfitting you with a helmet and protective coat, you will embark on a one-hour guided tour through narrow galleries and impressive chambers of bluey grey marble. In the Cave Museum, you will see amazing exhibits from deep within the mountain. It is around 45 minutes by car from Uderns to Hintertux. The Hintertuxer glacier lift will bring you up to the Spannagel House.
Wattens - Swarovski Crystal Worlds
Swarovski Crystal Worlds was designed by multimedia artist André Heller to mark the 100th anniversary of this famous company in 1995. Since then, the "Chambers of Wonders" brimming with breath-taking crystal artwork, have continued to develop. Many contemporary artists have exhibited their spectacular installations there, revolving around the "Crystal" theme. Absolute highlights include the Crystal Cathedral - accompanied by music from Brian Eno - and "Silent Light", a crystalline room designed by Alexander McQueen and Tord Boontje. Wattens is about a 30-minute drive from Uderns.
Fügen alpine dairy
And even more cheese! At the alpine cheese dairy in Fügen and in the Cheese Museum, you will learn about a number of Zillertal specialties. Fügen Grey Cheese, Hochfügen Mountain Cheese, Zillertaler Gipfelstürmer and many more are all produced here. This cheese dairy is located only five minutes from Uderns.

Our provincial capital Innsbruck
A trip to our capital of Tyrol Innsbruck is always worthwhile. Whether for shopping or sightseeing - it has something to offer for practically everyone. The Old City, with its famous emblem the „the Golden Roof", boasts one of the most beautiful medieval architecture in Austria. Also rewarding are Hofburg Palace and Hofkirche church, as well as Schloss Ambras which lies enthroned above the city. The drive from Uderns to Innsbruck takes around 40 minutes.
Zillertal alpine dairy in Mayrhofen
Have you ever seen how cheese is being made? No? Then you should definitely take advantage of this unique opportunity and visit the Zillertal Dairy. If the tour wets your appetite, you can also stop in next-door to taste some of the dairy's cheese specialties and other mouth-watering regional dishes. You will just need 20 minutes to get from Uderns to Mayrhofen.
Schwaz
The silver mine in Schwaz is an exciting destination, especially for families. The 90-minute guided tour through the mine provides amazing insights into the life once led by the miners here in Schwaz, who toiled constantly below ground to extract this precious metal. Also worth a visit: The planetarium as well as Schloss Freundsberg. It is a 20-minute drive from Uderns to Schwaz.
Lake Achen – Pertisau
Achensee, or Lake Achen, is actually the biggest lake in Tyrol and you can enjoy a leisurely ferry ride to and from the various landings in Pertisau, Seespitz, Buchau, Achenseehof, Gaisalm and Achenkirch. The Achensee ferry service has existed since the end of the 19th century. Apart from splendid impressions of the unique surrounding countryside, you will also find idyllic beaches and good restaurants where you can enjoy delicious local favourites. Pertisau is about 30 minutes by car from Uderns.
Stans
From April until October, Schloss Tratzberg in Stans is open to the public, taking you on an exciting journey back to the Middle Ages. The magnificently painted inner courtyard and exquisite Renaissance rooms make this castle one of the most significant cultural monuments in Tyrol. Just 20 minutes by car from the Wöscherhof.
Brixlegg
At the candle factory in Brixlegg, you can watch them manufacture candles and marvel at life-size wax figures - including amazing wax figures of Emperor Franz Joseph, Empress Maria Theresia, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Andreas Hofer. You are just a 20-minute drive by car from Brixlegg.
Rattenberg
Rattenberg is the smallest town in Austria by area and has a population of just 422 people. The medieval pedestrian zone is home to numerous glass manufacturers, who are also delighted to allow you to peek over their shoulders as they go about their work. It is only 20 minutes by car from the Wöscherhof.
